My air dam is on incorrectly and was hoping someone could post a pic of how it is supposed to be installed.
Maybe a pic from the front up close and hopefully some pics of the mounting areas.
Thanks.

Are you talking about the center piece under the nose that forces air into the radiator? If so, it will only go one one of two ways. I replaced my recently...both ways. Oh well...not too bright I guess. I searched the web for "front air dam" Corvette and I think I found a picture that way. Good luck. If your Vette is lowered, it will be a pain without a jack or a ramp.

Mine was installed upside down...
I took it off and did it last week...
Pretty simple.
There are two bolts holding it on, once you have it in your hands it is pretty simple.
Sorry I do not have pics.

well when i installed, my old one was gone. and there were some brackett type things screwed into the frame where it goes. so it didn't have much to work off of. It somewhat at an angle and does its job but i have seen others and they look different.

I had the same situation when I bought my car. I believe the air dam goes in front of the two brackets you mentioned and the front of the brackets actually fit into a slot on the back of the air dam. Once you hold the dam into this position, the screw holes on the dam will line up with the correct holes on the frame.
I hope this helps.

Here's a tip: Sometimes, when the air dam flexes (as in going in and out of driveways, pushing against curb stops, etc) the two springs that are horizontally positioned on the back side of the air dam squeek or creak, etc. I took two pieces of rubber hose of the correct diameter and length and slit them down the side and wrapped each one around each of the springs. No need for ty-wraps etc as the tension of the hoses on the spring holds them in place. No more squeeking springs.

I just bought a new center air dam and I wasn't sure which way to mount it. Did a search, found this thread. THANKS guys for the help in figuring it out. It's mounted now. The one that was on there before wasn't mounted right. It had been bent so many times one side finally fell off. I'm kind of glad it did, now the new one is mounted right!
