So THAT'S what that part is for. The guys at HP did some modding & that part made the ride home from Illinois on the frame. Now I know where to put it !!!

I have a question about the A/C line protective bumper shown in one of Patches photos. Did that come with your car from the factory? I am finding that a great majority of C5's from various years are missing that piece. Does your protective bumper have a GM part number on it? The dealer cannot find it in their catalog. I need to buy one.

No part number molded into the part and no sign whatsoever of that part in my parts manual. Must have been an undocumented running change. It's made of a medium-durometer rubber-like material so you should be able to fab up a replacement yourself fairly easily.

Nice.

The most my wife did on her '01 was getting a pink jacket for the fob...and I ended up putting it on for her.

Mrs. Patches,
Excellent job and your mods look great. I have to say though, I have had this part for over a year stumped about where it came from. Thank you for the great picture and location. I will be putting mine back on tomorrow.
