I have my Z lowered about 3/4-1" using the stock bolts. I am having the front alignent and I need to know if the specs are different for a lowered car? Could some one post the specs so I can print them and take to the shop doing it?
a little off topic, but how long do the stock shocks last on a lowered z06? how about cut bushings and longer bolts on rear?
With cut bushings and longer bolts I'ld say about 20 seconds. They get really stiff when you go that low and they will bottom out. I drove around two years on my stock shocks after I lowered my car all the way on stock bolts (bolts/bushings removed up front and rear lowered all the way with cut bushings) finally replaced them 10 months ago with Bilsteins Sports and it rides better and has never hit the bumpstops. I'm sorry I waited so long, and if I knew then what I know now I would have replaced the shocks when I lowered the car.

I bought my car with 99k on the clock and stock shocks. When I lowered it on stock bolts, the shocks suddenly felt stiffer. I do not hit the travel stops. I think I simply moved the pistons to an area that that was less worn out than at the stock height. Bilsteins are on my to-do list, but I'm in no hurry because they actually feel just fine. No float, body roll, or nosedive. I'm a little worried that when I put the Bilsteins on the car, it will get a lot harsher. A problem since a daily drive my car.
When people say they ride rougher, that's an understatement. When the back tires on my car hit a hard spot, I can practically feel my ***** somewhere in the area of my spine. Pretty bone jarring.
