2 week shelf life, you could take this to mean that once the reservoir is filled it will last two weeks because it sucked up moisture before you put the cap on, sounds a little CYA, especially if the lid is sealed tightly and is not exposed completely to the elements.
Now you really know why the wet boiling point is more important than the dry boiling point.
Ranger - thanks for the help with the clutch fluid issue. I stopped at my Chevrolet dealer's parts department, and they had not heard of the "Super DOT4" and listed the DOT 3 fluid for clutches. I just saw the post that P/N 889588860 is what to ask for - do you agree? Is the Prestone synthetic acceptable also in my 2000? Thanks again, John

Yes, the GM-brand Super DOT4 (Part No. 88958860) is specified for all Corvette clutch. I've used it and was happy with the results. Just not stocked by most dealers; can be ordered. Cost about $8 per 8 ounce can.
I use Prestone DOT4 Synthetic in my C6 Z06 now. Happy with the results. Widely available. Cost $2.40 for a 12 ounce can.
Both those fluids have the same dry boiling point of 500F. I change my clutch fluid often enough that wet boiling point never becomes relevant. But FYI GM-brand in 338F and Prestone is 311F.
