For the rear $99 use royal purple..
Radiator $100-150 use Dextron or fluid of your choice.

Did both myself in one afternoon for the cost of the fluid. Cant beat spending some quality time with the vett on nice day.

Do the radiator flush yourself. Pull the cap, open the radiator petcock and catch the old fluid in a large pan or bucket. Refill with clean drinkable tap water and drain again. Repeat until clear. Then add proper amount of Dexcool (6.3 quarts) to get a 50/50 mix of antifreeze/water in the cooling system and top off with water if not full. If you use a 50/50 premix you will be low on antifreeze as an undefined but significant amount of water is retained in the engine when the radiator is empty.

WalMart usually carries the original Texaco DexCool.

Dealer in MD quoted in July for me:

$175 for Rear diff flush, fill
$145 for Coolant flush, fill

Actual charges were slightly less, but close.

Default Something to think about...

I am the second owner of my 99 Coupe.

When I picked up the car from the previous owner, He had told me that he has never put tap water in this car. He would take his own distilled water to the dealer.
I have done one radiator flush and followed his same plan.
Dextron mixed with only distilled water.

With distilled water, all the minerals & deposits have been removed.
No dirty water = less electrolysis, less maintenance, longer lasting parts

Why the need for "flush" in the diff? Unless you have some specific contamination issue to address, "flushing" is a waste of time and money.

Drain and replace fluid? Yes.

I should add, I went 10 years with the original coolant...never added a drop. I had it flushed because I got scared after reading some horror stories on the forum. When I picked up the car I asked the corvette mechanic how the coolant looked. He said it was clean as could be...I was quite surprised. When I gave it some thought I realized I only had about 5 years service on the engine because it is stored 5-6 months/year...now it makes sense.

It's better to use distilled water with DexCool and aluminum. Local Kroger sells distilled for about 80 cents a gallon. It's cheap and takes another variable out of the equation. Search Google for DexCool complaints, grab a six pack and sit back for a LONG reading session. Tap water in some areas has really high mineral content and can cause problems.

Just had this done recently at a local vette shop for my newly acquired '99, along with a few other things. Radiator flush w/ Dexcool was $135. Rear diff drain & refill was $116.
