Double Din - I swear this is my last mod - PICS!!!
I think the dash on the C5's is getting a little dated so I decided to change that.
I installed a Kenwood 7100 double din in the car. The unit has Gamin NAV, Sirius, Ipod, DVD, etc, etc, etc. Replaced the Bose door speaker with Boston Acoustic RX 620 components and put the tweeters behind the door latches. Each door is powered by an Xtant 1.1 100w amp. In the back compartment is a JL10w3 sub in a subthump stealth box. A steel cover with holes replaces the stock compartments cover and matches perfectly. THe sub is powered by an MTX 800w amp.
The system sounds great and I've got very good fidelity going down the road with the top down at 80MPH (closed course for testing purposes only)
The unit fits perfectly. In the pic it looks a little funny because the screen has a tilt setting that really helps with the glare with the top down.
After looking at the pics I guess I could have cleaned it up first.
BTW: Does anyone really believe this is the last mod??

The texture is very good now. I need to do some 600/1000 sanding and it will be a perfect match. I know, this is the second time I painted it. The first time was perfect but I needed to do a little more fitting.

A double Din setup is my next mod, I already bought a Pioneer AVIC-D3, and I am buying a double din bezel from C5Kidd. I am getting it painted gloss black, and I am also getting the center console painted, I currently, have no center console in my car. It looks like someone stole it!!!

That looks much better painted. In your garage sanding it I was concerned how it was going to come out. You did a good job smoothing it out
The only thing I see wrong is you have an Areosmith song on the screen, and your a George Michael kind of guy
I see you ran out of money from this years mods, and could only afford half a white shifter boot

Wow, you have good taste!! Everything you've done is somthing I would do and am planning on doing when I am un-poor, esp the components in this latest and "last" mod, I been looking at focals and a pioneer double din headunit... but first the engine!

Great looking mod Kevin.... Did you do the Bezel mod or have some one do it for you?
