If you ever take apart that "H" pipe, the actual hole in it is less than 1/2 the outside diameter.....I don't know why GM bothered, as it can't possibly even out the exhaust pulses from side to side as well as any of the good X-pipes do............

How restrictive are we talking here?
I have a mostly stock '03 Z06 with a Borla Catback and VR intake.... how much HP gain would I get with a good X-pipe?

I've been told the factory H-pipe is there more for sound tuning than exhaust flow. I doubt you'd see a horsepower increase with an X-pipe, but it might change the exhaust note a little.
