Default C5's with Stripes Pics

I saw a C6 with a stripe about 14" wide coming up the rearend and going down the hood. On each side of the wide stripe was a small 1/4" stripe. Kind of reminded me of a Chevelle SS stripe from years back. If anyone has any stripes on their C5 would you please post pics? I am thinking of doing something like this to my silver C5.

Default Yipes stripes!

I am considering stripes on mine too. I've e-searched all kinds of ways to find examples of other vette owners graphics, but not much comes up.
Mine is the Spiral Grey Metallic....darker than the pewter or silver and was thinking about stripes that are just a subtle shade or two darker than the car color. Two wide stripes right down the middle, front license to exhaust tips rather than having them end on the hood following the usual pattern.

What I need is some way to alter a photo to simulate this before taking the real plunge!

I for one love the big stripes too, but will wait for a paint job to do it.

You may be talking about my C6 Z06 ME3 stripes or C6 GS stripes which I have the same style for C5 as well ... I just got some pix but did not have time to post yet ... maybe tomorrow or so.

This is the new C5 stripes I am talking about

Thanks for the vendor link. I really like the CE1 stripes, in fact, I just ordered them. I'll post pics once they are on. Hopefully before the Toys for Tots run in Atlantic City.

Default Yowzer

Mike, thanx for posting what I consider close to what I'm thinking about. Hadn't really considered one very wide solid stripe but like the idea now....like on the c5 example but with a subtle color difference.

Thanks all for posting what ya gots.....

I originally got the CE style stripes from Mike at corvettestripes.com. I had a wreck with a deer which involved getting a new hood. I had the stripes painted on when I got the car repaired. I would recommend adding a rider to your insurance to cover the stripes.

If I may throw my 2 cents in, I personally think the C5's look best with the stock appearance. I don't know if for my personal tastes that a thin spoked rimmed C5 can be improved upon from an exterior standpoint. Interior wise is a different story

I think the stripes fit C4's and C6's better because they don't have the curves our C5's do. That isn't to say that those who have posted here who have stripes don't look good. I think they look fantastic! I just don't think I could ever do it myself.
