Join a local corvette club or go to some shows and check out what you like on some other cars. First thing most get as far as mods go is the exhaust. Many paint their brake calipers since they are so easily seen through the 2000 vette wheels. Congrats on your new car!

I'm not sure what you mean by this, and I am gone till am. I will be glad to help any way I can.
I got two seat heaters from e-bay, heizgart (sp?) I put two switches in the ashtray door for what I think is a slick set up. They are hidden by the outer door.

Dave, congrats to you and the Mrs. on your recent addition and welcome aboard.

Lots of good suggestions here...do some searches in C5 General...lots of great variations here as well as some good ol' fashion ingenuity displayed by many of the members

Congrats on the new C5 and welcome to the Corvette family!

First mod would depend upon your budget. If you can afford it, I would go with a Corsa exhaust.

I think the purpose of the CAGS, which has been put on several GM cars, was to get better CAFE ratings and therefore stay in favor with Big Brother. (CAFE = Corporate Average Fuel Economy)

Welcome to the forum and congrats on the car. I'd do a performance exhaust and intake.

Depends on whether you want to go for looks or performance. For looks, new wheels would be a good choice.

For performance, an air intake, LT headers and a good cat back.

As far as that first mod goes, you can't beat that perfornance hood seal!

Yep... a black one, I'd say!

Welcome to the C5 forums; you and the Mrs. are going to LOVE your Vette!

Bet you're glad you asked that question. 37 posts and 37 different answers

I went for cosmetics not performance mods as I need to stay close to stock living in England. Plenty of choice though.

My favorite? Heated Seats which extend my top down season.

And remember, the only dumb question is the one you don't ask

For heated seats take a look at post 16 on this thread

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1817090

Its reasonably straight forward.

Default Wow!

thanks for the help and the welcome. Pictures very soon. Prolly after work tomorrow, er today rather since its 2:30am.I would take them now but its dark=(. I think the intake and the pipes are prolly going to be first, like so many have mentioned. And since i know nothing about engines ill prolly take mine to a shop. But since i got the car ive been reading as much as possible. Mine didnt come with a owners manual but i did download offline. Reading that as well as whats on the forum. But i do need a local club so i get first hand knowledge. I really like the HID thread i looked at earlier. Seems like a great mod. Since i dont like the yellow look of the foglamps either. Someone mentioned If its a MN6. Can anyone tell me what a MN6 is? thanks for the help guys
