I am sure its been a subject of the past. But what is the best way to lower the C5. I have seen in the catalogs they sell these bolt looking things. How low does it actually get? What about the front? They don't show anything for the front.
You can lower on the stock bolts that are there. If you want to go even lower then I believe you can get those lowering bolts. Here are a couple photos of mine lowered all the way on stock bolts.
That looks pretty good, but I think I want to go lower. Does the front get lowered the same way as the back.
my shop told me that's as low as they would put it. I don't know if you can get it lower just on the bolts or not but like jrose said, I guess you can cut the bushings.
For me, it's as low as I want to go as I already scrape at most speed bumps or potholes. I do have the frame saver rollers which I would recommend to anyone lowering just as an insurance to keep the bottom of your car in good shape. What I have looks like little caster wheels bolted to the bottom of the front frame. I bought the car with them on there so I don't know off hand who sells them but I'm sure all the usual places do, especially if they sell lowering bolts and such.
Best of luck on finding your info. Do some searching because I am sure people have talked about the ways to lower a C5. Someone might even still chime in here.
