[Z06] Not a Z06...

Not a Z06...
I was told today while out and about, by a 20-something: "Man that is weak, posing as a Z06!"
"Your car can't be a Z06 it is a C5!"
I didn't know what to say, I was too busy picking my jaw off the ground... Guy got into his Subaru and drove off, with me standing there dumbfounded. I was thinking about it later and he got the generation right, which leads me to believe he was yanking my chain!?!?
That is the wierdest thing anyone has said to me about the car though...

Can you imagine for a moment this fella talking cars over a Beer with a few friends and he says..

"That guy sure was an idiot, he can't fool me"..
and his friends look at him and say....

2 years ago some punk kid said t to his friends while I was within earshot"I'll thats not a Z06 and that guy badged it himself" So I turned around and said," you're right, and it only has a 4.6liter in it, but its a fast 4.6 liter"

Gosh, that's so weird.
I just went through the drive-thru at Whataburger and the guy workin' the register asked if my car was a Camaro Z06.
I was like, "no, it's actually a corvette".
I think he meant well, but who doesn't know what a vette looks like?

I once read a serious post online from a European that said the C5 Z06 should be, and in the future will be, refered to as the Z05. 
After all, calling it a Z06 is stealing the name from the REAL Z06.
