I received a letter once from a local dealer stating that they had someone interested in buying my car and they wanted me to bring it to them! ! Its called Marketing

Melting Slicks
Another note - I was in the dealer for an alignment, and they had 4 new Zs on the show room floor. I was staring at them (because I couldnt help myself). The sales mgr came up and said "What if I give you a ridiculous offer on your car out there and took $1500 off MSRP for the new Z?". I asked, "What are they going for $68K?" and he replied, "Try $78K". Sounded HIGH to me. I looked back at my car, and then at the Z, I easily said "No thanks". It was tempting but overall an easy decision for me....besides, he had 4 on the floor - I expect a much better deal than that. 
Lesson: be careful of dealer visits.....TEMPTATION!
