Default Do 345/35R19's fit flared ZO6?

Has anyone put any 345/35R19's on the back of a mini tubed or L-5 Flared ZO6 or a Coupe. I am looking into getting some 19x13 IForged wheels and the L-5 rear fender flares. I can get a really good deal on and would like to use the Bridgestone 345/35R19's, they are the same tires used on the Ferrari Enzo. I know everyone usually goes 345/30R19 without any problems but I would rather go with the 345/35's if I can save quite a bit of money on each tire.

Here are some quick specs between the two:

345/30R19
Section Width: 13.58 in 345 mm
Rim Diameter: 19 in 482.6 mm
Rim Width Range: 12 - 13.5 in
Overall Diameter: 27.14 in 689.35 mm
Sidewall Height: 4.07 in 103.37 mm
Radius: 13.57 in 344.67 mm
Circumference: 85.26 in 2165.6 mm
Revs per Mile: 766.3

345/35R19
Section Width: 13.58 in 345 mm
Rim Diameter: 19 in 482.6 mm
Rim Width Range: 12 - 13.5 in
Overall Diameter: 28.50 in 723.9 mm
Sidewall Height: 4.75 in 120.65 mm
Radius: 14.25 in 361.95 mm
Circumference: 89.53 in 2274.0 mm
Revs per Mile: 729.8

please help if possible,
B

Just my opinin, but I think the 35's are gong to look odd being that tall. they are a full 2" taller than stock. That's also going to play with your gearing a they are 8% taller than stock. If you have a manual, it would be like putting 3.14 gears in the car, if you have an auto, it would translate to 2.51's.

Your car, please do what you like, but I don't think you would be happy with the end result as compared to the 30's. I know I wouldn't.

BTW, just noticed that you are in Mesa... I'm in Tucson. Howdy. Ever meet up with the guys from ACE? If not, take a peek, www.arizonacorvetteenthusiasts.net

Good luck on the tire quandry, but I really think they're just too tall.

those are waaaaaaaaaay too tall.

my 345/30/19 tires are a very tall tire as it is. any taller and you'll be hitting the underside of the car.

i believe mike76002 tried a set of extra tall tires and he said he had to modify the inside of his wheelwell housing to get them to work.

IIRC they were a tall 20" tire. i'll try to dig up the old post regarding this for you.

ok i found the old thread.

http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1654095

if you take a look at mike's post #43 he states:

now his tires were 335/30/20 and they were 28.0" tall. according to mike, he had to mod the **** out of his car to get them to fit.

the tires you want are 28.5" tall so there's no way in hell they will be able to fit, from the info i've seen.

hope this info helps you.

I've seen them on C5's and C6's and they look fine. We just put 345's on a C6 with the Z06 flared rear quarter panels and they look great. I've also seen them on tubbed C5's and they look great.

he's not asking about the width, he's asking about the height.

Thanks everyone for the excellent quick info. I was only considering this size of a tire because of the price I can get them for. I guess no saving money on this project either.

IM28702,
The 3.14 gears with my Kenne Bell might be fun. That would help get the power to the ground down low and maybe hit 300mph, or not.

Ya I met up with BobJ and BigMike last weekend @ Speedworld. We ran our car down the track a few times. It was really fun. I definitely need some DR's too. We will probably do it again sometime

I don't believe 345x35x19 will work without lots of rubbing. I have 345x30x19 am tubbed and that is very tight.

For those 19x13, get 355/25/19 or step up to 20x12 and run 345/25/20.
You don't wanna go to the widest wheel but you wanna go to the most narrow wheel can fit the widest tires to save weight

Steve,
If you wanna go 19/20 then the rear don't need to be any wider than 20x12.5 to fit 345/25/20. For me, I did plan to either use Nitto Invo's 345/25/20 or Mich PS2 325/25/20 so 20x12" is the best for those tires.
If you will go with Pirelli 345/25/20, then 20x12.5 is better.

Ya that was me. I tried Firebird the other night and no dice there either. I guess I'm done with going to the track with my current setup. I don't like running 2.0+ 60ft times and hitting 12's with a 124mph trap.

After being on the internet for over a week looking at wheels, I think I have narrowed my search down to HRE's or Iforged. Definitely going with a 18x10 and a 19x13 with 345/30's in the rear. I here that it take months to get the wheels made so waiting is going to be the hard part after I pull the trigger.

Chris if you make it up to the Phoenix/Mesa area sometime let me know and well will meet up.

thanks again everyone,
B
