Not much difference (compared to the stock runflats that is).
The thing I noticed most was feeling the very slight road imperfections a little more through the steering wheel...the expansion joints, tar strips, etc. Not objectionable, just a little difference in feel.
On sizable bumps, I didn't notice much difference at all. Certainly not harsh riding though. Most people I take for rides in my car are amazed at how smooth it rides. They look at the (lack of) tire sidewall, and expect it to be very rough...but it isn't.

When I had 19/20s on my car I really didn't notice any difference in the ride, but I was constantly on the lookout for potholes, etc. Was worried about taking a good bump to the shorter sidewalls the tires had.

Front: 19x9.5", 54mm offset, 275/30/19
Rear: 20x10", 52mm offset, 285/30/20
Next winter, I plan on sending the wheels back to have widened to 12 or 12.5", and mini-tub the car to run 345/25/20 on the rear.

So...if I go to 19-20's...how WIDE should the wheels be if I want to run the widest tire possible with NO rubbing or fitment issues?
You already know the next question.... (what are the biggest tires for this senario too)

I'd size them 19x9.5 and 20x11 and run 275/30/19 and 305 or 315/25/20 tires.
My setup is 5 years old. At that time, the 285 was the only game in town as far as a 20" rear tire size that fit a C5, which is why I ordered my rear wheels 10" wide.
With the 305 and 315 sizes now available, that's all changed, get a 20x11.

IMHO, there is no point going to 19/20's unless you lower it quite a bit. If you think a stock 4X4 looks bad, stick big wheels on it!
Having said that, you have to learn to drive different to miss pot holes etc., because of the low profile tires you could easily bend a rim, or blow a tire.
On smooth payment all is good!
I'm slammed on Pfadt coil/overs, and biggy bars, 19/20's tubbed.
No front bolts, lowered max on rear
Lower pics are with c/o's.

Frank, the first time I saw that Z06 paint scheme, I didn't care for it at all. But looking at your ride is the first time I really, really like it. It's amazing what some modification can do for a ride's look.
Sadly, that car wouldn't last ten minutes on the raggedy streets around Louisville.

Thanks AJ.!
You know it's funny but originally I was going to take the stipes off, just after I got her, but now I love em.
I was out and about today, and Toronto roads are like crap too! I can't wait to see what the situation will look like come driving weather, as they are not keeping up with the road repairs!

There are a lot of Vette owners who feel that the stock height is too high for the tires used on the car. I can agree with the fact that lowering the car does look better but after all of the "bottoming outs" that I have experienced, my ride is keeping the 4x4 look. Just like in sex, I want all the inches that I can get up.

I have read in previous threads where some of these fellas that bought their Z's new had dvd's with the ride. Somewhere there in was a suggestion from the factory to lower the car an inch for optimal handling ASIDE from being aesthetically pleasing(i.e. JETZ)
Maybe someone will chime in.

Here is my set of iForged Trial Wheels. Dimensions are 19x10 and 20x12.
The tires are Continental ContiSportContact 3. The Rears are 305/25/ZR20 and the Fronts are 275/30/ZR19.
No scraping, ride is a little harsher but not by much and i am lowered on stock bolts.
