[QUOTE=turk2gk;1564584613]Ok i just wanted to know if its just me having driven regular c5's and c5 z06's i really cant tell the difference between the two they drive the exact same to me. It doesnt feel any different to me at all. I get into a stick c5 and i cant tell the difference between that and a z06. Am i the only one?[/QUOTE

You won't be able to tell the difference if you drive it 30-40 Mph, try driving it hard and you'll see that Z06 is far better car

I feel great about the car. The z06 is a great daily driveable supercar i wouldnt mind having a c5 z06 at all but it's not something im in a hurry to get
I'm surprised you don't notice a difference since you have a Vette. It's been probably a year since I've driven a Z06, but I would think I would notice the difference now, having daily driven my coupe for the past 6 months.

The main reason I bought the coupe is because the targa top. I don't do enough competitive driving to justify giving up the open air driving for the added performance of the Z06.

I have owned and driven both a C5 FRC and 02 Z06. I think the best way to state the difference is that the Z06 is like an FRC on steroids. There is a huge difference in the capabilities of the cars not to mention feel. The Z06 definitely has a throatier exhaust also.

lol I agree. I have owned both (99 FRC and now 03 Z06). I remember several years ago when I first purchased my 99 FRC. For the heck of it I went and test drove a used 02 Z06. I had a permanent grin stuck on my face for about a week after that (and this is while I owned a 99 C5). So to say there is no difference is kind of surprising to me. Only thing I can think of is there was something extremely wrong with the Z06 this guy drove or you he didn't press the peddle on the right lol.
