I see the rub mark on the hood? Anyways, it doesnt look good.

I know how you feel, I went through the same thing with my truck a few years back. Like most people have said, the body shop usually will always warranty over the life you own the vehicle. Also, to demand OEM parts is sometimes a sitckie point with the insurance company. StateFarm requires you to pay the difference for OEM parts if the car is XX years old (atleast that was the case in 2000 w my camaro).

Good luck!

Okay, thanks, I'll add that to my list. At least I got the right part.

The air dam is not backward, it's upside down.

Backasswards

Hope you get all the issues resolved.

I was under the assumption that insurance companines could not recommend where to take your vehicle for repairs. I'm with Amica; and although I've had to use shops in past for other vehicles, they never have/never would recommend a shop. Seems like a confict of interest and I do believe it's illegal. Anyone know?

they cannot force you to; but they certainly can recommend anyone or anything.

It was actually a little convenient. This shop had a Geico office and an Enterprise Rent-a-Car office inside of it. I did it all in one pop.

That was one of their "authorized" body shops.

Your shop is a bunch of hacks, and no offense, but you deserve some of the blame for not staying on top of things better.
Go over it with a fine tooth comb and get it done to your satisfaction.
Good luck to you.

Good luck on getting it repaired properly. Insurance companies are tough to deal with.

I would definitely raise a stink about the job that was done. Either they fix it right or get it done at another shop. Geico should be willing to withhold payment to them if it's not up to par.

This is a common mistake made at dealerships.

The good news is you went to a recommended (albeit a lousy one) shop. This means as long as you complain, they have to fix it. Call your insurance company and bitch up a storm. They'll contact the shop and make them aware of the situation, and the shop will do whatever it takes to stay in the insurance company's good graces. These shops make a mint on doing insurance work and this is all some shops will even deal with because the money is guaranteed. They will put their best guy on it and if he can't get it right, they should send it somewhere where someone who knows what they are doing can fix it.

What a whack job. That paint looks terrible. I'd be pissed too. You need to quit sending your wife to pick it up though. If you're as picky as I am, you need to inspect the work before it leaves the shop.

I have Nationwide Insurance, and I pay an extra additional fee, to have OEM replacement parts specified on my policy. I think it's something like another $50 / year.
