electrochromatic side mirror leaking?

electrochromatic side mirror leaking?
Car:
2004 Coupe 54000 miles
Problem:
It appears my drivers side mirror is leaking the electrochrmatic (spelling?) fluid. The odd thing is I do not see any signs of leakage other than a fluid line about 1/3 down.
I assume these can not be fixed and I will need the glass to be replaced. I have done a few searches and have seen no reports of this problem before. Any hints/tips would be appreciated.

I have seen that on a Tahoe IIRC, I have also heard that the fluid is not good for the paint if it is leaking. I would look into it. Keep us posted on your findings.
