Default C5 goes Vintage Hillclimb Racing at Hershey PA - Pics!

This weekend the Susquehanna Valley Vintage Sports Car Club is hosting the Hershey Vintage Hillclimb event. The Corvette is the Featured Marque for this event and a Corvette Corral was provided for all Vettes that showed up today. This is a timed event, all uphill, no guardrails and the hay bales provide little protection from the large trees that line this narrow course! After seeing our share of Saabs and MGs, it was time for the Corvettes to take to the course and show them how its done. I never got out of second gear ! The temperature today was about 60 degrees and cloudy. Now for the pics.

I think I should talk to Lance Miller from Carlisle Events who was there with a Corvette Challenge Series car long with us Corvette owners yesterday about staging a Corvette event at the track for a weekend and coming up with a clever new name for it.

I have to tell you those trees look a bit frightening as they come up on you fast.

Here are a couple of video's that I took this past weekend.

Video 1 - some clips of buddies driving the hillclimb.

Video 2 - slow touring lap that I took in the Challenge Car.

Enjoy,

Lance

PS the event was a blast!!
