The C5 had two top options on the coupe - a lexan one (which you have apparently) and a solid fiberglass one, painted to match the body color. You might think about getting a fiberglass one or try looking at vendors like Mid-America - there are some sunshades that are available for the glass tops that reduce the heat, glare and UV radiation.

Kamal is obviously an experienced "senior member" vette owner so it seamed strange for such a question.
