Why in he!! did I wait so long!!
13 months ago, 3 days before my 47th, we bought our first. SW '02 Coupe. Original plan was for it to be my wife's dd. Now I'm 48 and we're looking for another one - for her. 
(or an '04 Z06 for me. hmmmm, I think I found my first thread...)
I'm wondering if that average age quoted takes into account the number of owners who have purchased corvettes multiple times over the course of their (happy) lives? Wouldn't that raise the overall average age..? It appears to me about equal otherwise IMO.

19 when I bought my vette, I am 21 now and considering a c6 coupe and a c5 vert for the wife. Or a c6z.... Gotta do it while I can right? No kids yet, but I dont know how long that will last once I buy the wife a vette.

Not a tough answer I think. I am the big, very big 60 amd have an 01 convert.
I graduated from HS in 1965 and bought an 66 ( part me and part HS grad gift from the parental units). It was maroon with a white convert top. 327 single 4 bbl, 4spd. I only wish I still had it.!!!!!!!!!!!!!

2 weeks after my 26th birthday(March of 06'), I picked up a 2001 A4. May of 07' I sold it to my old man and picked up a Procharged 2000 M6.

I bought a new 2004 at age 32 when I first graduated from college (Ph.D, took a while). I'm 36 now and just added a new daugter 7 months ago. She loves, riding in the vette (more windows with the glass roof).

I bought my first vette 6 week ago. I'm 52. It seemed impossible a few years ago with some new vettes priced as high as $110,000 here in Canada.
