I installed my SC myself.

I will tell you this for sure. The satisfaction of doing it yourself is awesome.

Next by doing it yourself you will have a very good understanding of how it all works and will then be able to diagnose and repair anything that may pop up down the road.

btw. You'll also know it was done right.

It's like installing the s/c myself but without the headaches and extra horsepower in the end good luck with the rest of your install.

Default Day 4

Well, on Monday, Day 4, I did not get much accomplished. With working on my primary job, I did not get started until late. Anyway, today, I got in my new Corsa Pace Car cat-back system! So, I began unhooking the old stock Cat-back mufflers.

Old muffler:

Oh, here is the kit for pinning the crank shaft, if anyone is interested:

After I worked on the exhaust, I pulled my old 26 lb injectors out:

... and installed the provided 38 Lb injectors:

While I had the injectors off, I installed a new check-valve in the PCV line. I also capped a vacuum port on the throttle body (all documented in the ProCharger manual):

I'm happy to see that Procharger's instructions are just as full of understatements as they were when I installed one of their kits on my '92 Vette back in 1998.

Step 46: Remove engine.

Step 47: Balance on end of your d**k.

Step 48: Reinstall engine.

Im planning on doing that exact set up on my 93... Do you have any threads about your install...??? Maybe more pics!?!?!?! And specs... boost, where you purchased, and prices?...

*PM me!* Thanks dood!

Thanks!

Nice work! To do the job with jack stands must really be a pain. When mine goes out of warranty I'm thinking about installing one. Keep up the awesome work . David

Yes, the jack stands are a little pain to work with, but, they do work fine. I will try to get more done this evening and post more in the morning! keep watching, and ask any questions you want. This thread is to help anyone who may want to do an install themselves.

Great job so far. I know you can't wait to experience the boosted power.

I am assuming that you have some sort of a handheld tuner with your kit if you are already changing out the injectors. When I changed mine from the stock injectors to 42 lb ones the car really wouldn't start without the additional tune change. I had to put the stock injectors back in to be able to drive it around and get it to the shop for a dyno tune.

Yes, My kit came with the new Diable Predator. This is one of the first Predators that will work with ANY Gen III car! It works on my 99 vette, and my son's 98 Trans AM. It is NOT locked to the VIN number.

I have not yet loaded the new tune from the Predator. I will before I crank it up in a day or two.
