Default Subwoofer Placement Ideas?

So I've had a couple of 10" Alpine subs and an amp lying around the house for a while now, and I've always felt that my 'vette could use a little more bass.

So the question is, how many of you guys have aftermarket subs in your coupes, and if so, where did you put them?? I would like to still be able to store my roof panel in the cargo compartment if the need called for it, so any suggestions are appreciated!

Thanks in advance as always guys,
Baker

Subthump.com sells several different types of boxes made to fit in the middle storage compartment. I bought the dual 10 inch style and customized it to be flush and made a plexiglass cover.

I have 3 10" JL Audio's in a sealed box, the box is approx. 10 inches from the backs of the seats, I have them pointed up, but since I put a hole in one from my roof i will be facing them toward the back. The top fits fine and I sill have room for lugage and have access to my cargo areas. It is loud and sounds amazing. I was thinking about making a box for 2 10's in the main cargo area but have not done it yet, another day I might try it.

Works great! Steel mesh cover is strong but easy to remove with Velcro around edge.

Thanks for the input, guys. I figured that would be the best spot, I just had the 12 disc changer back there and I wasn't sure if that would interfere with it or not.

Oh well, if I have to relocate it no big deal. Thanks again, folks.
