windshield wipers quit!
today was driving and all of sudden my wipers came on. They would not go off! was late to pick up daughter so i just keep putting the fluid on so i wouldnt look stupid on a sunny day. drove about ten minutes then they stopped for minute and then back on. Well went off again and now for good. Checked the fuse when i got home looked good , any suggestions? 99VERT. THANKS

I had a similar problem recently. Did this happen after a recent rain? And if it did, was your car outside. Seems like a couple of members have experienced a similar problem which originated from clogged udders. The wiper motor gets wet and starts acting crazy. Bill Curlee has provided the following help.

windshield wiper quit
Had just the opposite problem.Wipers would not shut-off.There is only two things.Motor and switch.I check motor for water as prestated in forum answers.I changed my wiper switch on the steering column.It fix the problem."E" mail me at fjdracer@yahoo.com.I have all the info.for fixing if you want to do the job.Time comsuming but really not that hard to do.GOOD LUCK!!

thanks fpr the replies! now its really acting crazy on most time and then off a little . seems like it happened after i wash then put wet hood up. quess some water went in engine compartment dont know! ill pull the fuse then my mechanics coming next week. but thanks for the help!
