Hmm! Not so sure I agree. I've had a double for a while now, and do find it somewhat intrusive. Also, its a bit of a reach for the driver. On the positive side, I painted mine to match my interior, and it came out perfect. I use one spot to store my sunglasses and the other for passenger drinks. It installs in a heartbeat so its easy to remove if the passenger wants more wiggle room.

My double cupholder in Cashmere, which matches my Lt Oak pretty darned good, came yesterday and it works with my coffe travel cup perfectly, just extend my right hand out and it is right there.
I love the estimated time to install, "1.5-2 seconds", ha!
It is big enough for the water bottles we keep in the car. I noticed that the holder does stick out but my wife did not think it was in the way and while I was in the passenger seat, I did not notice it encroaching at all. Great holder for sure.

My wife actually prefers it in the car so she can rest her leg on it...

I have the double in shale, it is a perfect match and very easy to install and great to use. when you get to the show you just slide it out and stash it in the "cargo hold"
