I noticed a few months back and was hoping it was just me being overly detailed, guess not. I have an 04 with 19K and its always garaged. Damn shame to have to replace the hatch. Damn

My 34-year-old 328 Ferrari has both a regular mechanical cable system and a back up cable system for both front and rear compartments. Had to use the backup on the engine compartment when the regular one broke - but is was indeed there - and it worked. I'm comfortable enough with the C8 - and _like_ it so much better than any of my previous Vettes that I'm going to sell the 328.

Looks like I have this issue on a "new-to-me" 2003 convertible 33k miles on the back trunk lid. I was going to have my body shop repaint it, but I'm not sure if there is any other recourse.
