Default Anyone Mag Red paint their rear plate frame Mag Red?

Tried to edit title so it made more sense but no can do.
I bought a can of Mag Red spray paint from GM. I was thinking of painting my stock black rear plate frame Mag Red. Anyone have a pic of a Mag Red C5 with the stock plate frame painted Mag Red? Photo shop would be OK. Thanks,
Mike

Here you go: Bought from Kewl. Not sure if they're still around. Be careful... I ordered Mag Red 2, but they shipped me Mag Red 1. Returned it for the right color.....

Like Magneticmike I got mine from Kewl Auto for about $70. Its great quailty and a good match.

From what I read, the older frames were fine to paint. Apparently the newer model is difficult to get a good finish. If your frame is OEM you should be OK. The advice from the experts here was 3 or so coats of color and 1 or 2 clearcoat.

I've been painting some underhood panels and I have to say I've had trouble. Without a clean room I keep getting small bits of dust which ruins the finish. I've also speant way more on paint doing it myself. This may be one of those thats worth just paying the $$ Just a thought. Mind you, plenty of other members have done a great job so maybe its just me that totally lacks painting skills

I used a filler/primer and did about 5 coats (the frame is grained) sanding between each coat with 600 grit. Then I shot 3 coats of color and wet sanded with 2000 grit then 3 coats of clear wet sanded with 2000 grit, buffed with 3M FinessIt, and then a coat of Zaino. Bill
