No personal insult intended, but I think it's a ridiculous question. I'm disappointed that some on here apparently feel otherwise and actually don't always wave to C4s. For reference, I've never had the pleasure of owning a C4.
Yup, I wave at them all. I've been waving at them, from the day I bought my first one, a 70 Stingray back in 74. I even give them a thumbs up, when I'm not driving mine.
Anyone with a cool ride, is fair game to me. Cool rides rule....
The real question is, Who Goes to wave at another Corvette and realized you are not driving your Corvette? hence the Corvette owner will not know who you are or why your waving. Happens to me all of the time when i switch to my winter vehicle.
Just waved to a nice white C4 today! (he didn't wave back though)
Yeah, me too. He saw me wave, too. I had the top down and I was sitting in a gas station when he was pullin out. He was 20ft from me. Most young fellers don't wave at old scudders, I guess.
The wave is for the family of corvettes not some year specific or model thing. If'n your not ready to wave to 'em all (no matter that they may not reply), your not a 100% family member.
I must admit even though I wave I cringe when I see early gen c4s drive by. Most if not all look hideous because of condition or poor choice of balloon tires on the old 16 or 15 inchers etc. I wish I could put up a sign saying 'just drive it into a tree already you're making us all look bad' .
Honestly, no. Maybe if its in show room condition ill appreciate it but when I see an all beat up one on the road I couldnt care less about it.
A Corvette is a Corvette is a Corvette! Respect all of them equally therefore wave at all of them!
Some people love there Corvettes differently. This may mean that their Vette' is 20 years old with 250k on the clock and looks a little beat up. So what!! WAVE!!: yesnod:
