Default TPMS rebuilt - Question

Rebuilt my sensors this weekend in anticipation of getting new tires. First time doing this so I went ahead and programmed them to make sure they were going to work. They each responded to the programming.

On startup this morning (sensors on the passenger seat) I did NOT get the "serv tire pres mon sys" or any other warning (thought I would at least get a low tire warning). After about 20 minutes I get the "serv tire pres mon sys" warning.

Thought that was kind of weird. Does that mean something is wrong with the sensors? Not sure what I was expecting, just thought I'd check here before they're mounted.

the only thing you can do with them sitting on your seat is check communications, you can not check function unless they are rolling and up to speed.

Thats why its an iffy proposition to buy rebuilts, or attempt it yourself... if you get all four done right , its a good thing but chances are you may not.. removing the potting material causes stress on the board, and you wont know if the stress cause a failure until you get them mounted. and if one is bad, you have to loose all that time to get
to remove the sensor and get another,

I thought the sensors need to be "awakened" before they will start to report status. Not sure that sitting on the seat is enough activity to kick them out of standby mode. On my 98, they don't start to report pressure until driven a short distance down the road.
