May my seats burn in hell..
Is there any solution to getting them to fit better??!!? I'm 6'1" 200lb 34" waist..
I really can't stand the seats.. I've tried every adjustment position I cna think of and after six months I still can't get something that feels right.., These seem to be such a step back from the C4 seats..

How many miles are on these seats? The only thing I can really suggest, short of buying a different type of seat altogether, would be to put new seat foam in. If your seats are old and/or well-used, that foam won't be as firm as it used to be, and new foam will firm things up substantially. I did this myself last month. I'm 6'0, 190 lb and 34" waist so I'm pretty similar to you. They seem fine to me... but everyone's different. Hope I was of some help!

Th C5 Z06 seats are the most uncomfortable seats I have ever sat in. I usually will not take a trip in my car if its over a couple hours even with stops they are literally a PITA. I'll take a more comfortable car and be in comfort if its a longer trip. My wife sits on a pillow on the passenger seat if we go anywhere and shes 5'8" 125 lbs. I'm 6'2" 215 and they just arent made for butt comfort.

I guess everybody is different. I have made several 4-5 hour trips in mine and I consider them comfortable. They won't hold you like a race seat will and they are a little on the flimsy side but I like em better than the C6 seats. Just my opinion and I am smaller at 6' 160 lbs. so maybe that has something to do with how they feel to me.

The early C4 sport seats may have been the best yet. Everybody likes different things, so 'right' varies, but try messing around with the rake.
You said 'six months,' so presumably you're not the original owner, and the seats don't seem to change much after they're worn in, particularly if the prior owner was wide.
If all else fails, I'd think a good seat cover shop might be able to help with some new (and re-configured) padding using the original covers.

Can had only 28k miles when I picked it up.. Seats are in like new condition...
They seem to give me lower back issues.. The back bolster seems to be intrusive.. They feel best to me when my *** is all the way to the seat back... but inevitably it slides forward.. even with the seat base angled back.. I've been playing with the seat back position.. but either my knees hit the dash, or I feel to far away.. I think the lack of the steering wheel adjustment may be partially to blame... also the side bolster support BLOWS! not deep enough!! Around turns the side bolsters just dig in to your kidneys.. ick! I've jumped over to the passenger side to test if it was a seat padding issue.. but same thing.. even drove my friends Z (11k miles orig owner) same thing..
I've read about this seat foam trick.. but i'm worried that might prematurely wear the side seat bolsters and padding.. has anyone done this yet for any length of time?!?!?
This is the only disappointing part of my car!! In all other respects it kicks the camels ***!!

I'm 300 lbs and the seats in my 04 Z06 are a lot better (comfort-wise) than the 94 Honda Accord I was driving. However, I am concerned about how long they'll hold up.

I'm way bigger than you @ 6-3 and 250, and they've always seemed pretty comfy to me. I could use another inch or two of head room, but that's true of most cars/trucks I'm in.

ok.. I just went out and tried the side seat bolster foam trick... its quick and easy to do.. took 10min to do it and then undo it.. Its a little too tight for me and jdigs in the kidneys a bit more.. damit.. I'm half temped to get some nice C4 seats and retro fit! I wonder if the C4 seats would bolt up to the c5 seat tracks...
any other suggestions on what you've done to get comfortable is greatly appreciated.. Anyone in the Jacksonville, Orlando, Daytona, Lakeland region with aftermarket seats?!?! I'd love to meet up for lunch one day!!

This is weird to me. My mom (I know, I know) has some really bad back problems, and she thinks my Z06 seats are better than the ones in their Cadillac. My friends never complain, neither does my girl. I don't think they're as good as the GTO seats, but they're pretty freakin' good.

I am 5'11" 180 and I find the seats rather comfortable. I recently purchased the car in Nebraska and had to drive 17 hours home to Alabama, which I did mostly in 1 day. My back was a bit sore, but that was just because I had sat so long without stretching as I only stopped for gas. I found it much more comfortable to sit a bit more upright than I do in my Tacoma.

unzip the seat cover, loosen the front, move the foam insert off of the side bolster frame and place it so its inside the frame instead re attach seat cover.. if you search there is probably a post that has pix... w/ a 34" waist I think you'll find it too tight.. thats a fix for smaller folks..
I'm not saying they are worse than cobra seats.. they jsut arent as good as C4 seats (a step backwards).. there has got to be a fix!

I've done this mod, and it's better than nothing. It's OK for those bigger than 34 waist guys, I've gotten used to it.
I also removed the center spring under the seat, with the hopes that it would sit me closer to the floor.
