I cant get my life meter to reset, I hold the reset button and it reads
___% and then it goes back to the original life. I changed the oil last week and went on a 300 mile road trip yesterday and it still never reset, I have tried to reset 10 time and still no go.

Ignition on - engine off.....hit trip until oil life appears on the DIC, then press and hold reset until the oil life indicates 100%.

You can also pump the throttle to the floor three times to reset the oil life.

It won't work with the engine running.

Ignition on (dash lit up) and engine not running? Try it again, bring up oil life by pressing TRIP and then press and hold RESET - it should go to 100%. Otherwise, try the other method - bring up oil life and floor the throttle three times in rapid succession.
