Here's my "Jake" stripe. This could be extended down the nose until it wraps around the flags, if that suits your tastes. A local shop that does vinyl wraps and signs made it for me for $300.

So that knife less stuff works with any vinyl or is it for special vinyl? I've thought about trying it.

From what I learned, there are three types of vinyl and they all require a different kind of Knifeless tape. PPF is a clear vinyl used for clear bra applications. PPF needs a tape that has a thin metal wire inside. Chrome vinyl uses the tape designed for chrome. Finally, there is standard automotive vinyl, which includes Carbon Fiber. These all use the same kind of tape.

Once you study now to manage the material and how to deal with wrinkles and when to apply heat, it is pretty easy on flat surfaces. Compound curves are another story all together. I don't have experience to try that.

Anyway, this turned out very well. The roof and hatch deck are next. Give it a try. Fit first, watch a **** load of YouTube in order to understand exactly how to prep the surface and lay down the tape and vinyl. Some video address the mechanics of how the material should be applied, and some videos don't address those details at all.

I'm with ya brother!

The lines of the C5 don't lend themselves to stripes, flames, or fancy decals. Sometimes (most of the time) less is more.........
