Thumbing thru some old graphics, I came across these Photochops I did back in '11 that I'd forgotten about. Please excuse the low res.

Yeah, I had a few C3s (including a '78 Pace Car) before getting my C5. Some of these do smack of the two-tone paint jobs they put out back then.

No funky stripes or paint schemes..Factory paint except for the hood..Bought a VIS CF hood that had gel coat damage all along the edges (bubbling)...Fought with myself about painting the whole hood the factory Torch Red...Or repairing and painting the sides and leaving the cowl CF...I know it won't be to everyone's liking but I think I made the right choice..

Dig ................. but my guess would be that you still scratch them over certain dips or bumps, I know I do with my lower rocker panels and I have no side shirts but do have the flat bar panel savers installed which sticks down about 1/8".
my vette sits at about the same height as yours.

Actually, I don't scrape the skirts at all, at least with the few speed bumps we have around here. The only time I get a minor scrape is from the Vortex splitter if I go over the bump at any speed exceeding a crawl. And I always take them at an angle.
Perhaps your bumps are bigger than mine. So anyway, if you're hitting bottom now, you probably won't hit any more often with the right skirts. Have you considered those frame rail protectors? Those, with skirts, would give you the look and protection.
