How do you jack up the front of your car?
I have a lowered 03 Z06. I usually buy my oil and filter and take it to the dealership here in town and they charge me 10 bucks to change the oil. Easy. I've been changing the oil in every one of my vehicles since I was 16 and the reason I haven't been changing the oil in the vette is because I have no idea how I would even begin to jack my car up, especially since it's lowered. I'm tired of being intimidated and relying on others to do something simple like change my oil.
So basically, I'm looking for some advice on how to easily jack the car up for an oil change.
Help me out CF. Thanks!

Mine is lowered so I drive it up on ramps and then I can get the jack under the front and get it up high enough for the jack stands. After that I jack up the back so it's a little higher than the front.

Thanks. I was thinking about going to Lowes and getting some boards and stacking them to where it gets progressively higher. Would that work?
I'm going to order some race ramps and a low profile jack next week but in the mean time i need to do this oil change like monday or tuesday..

I dont know about stacking boards, it may work - I just used Rhino ramps and my home made ramp extenders.
The race ramps look fine too, and the low profile jack is good. You may not need the jack with the ramps though.

I took boarded and made steps then screwed the boards together. So every time I want to jack the car up, or put it on rhino ramps I do that first. Works great.

Go to the local HD get yourself a 8 ft. length of 2x10 cut 4 18in pieces 45 degree the ends cut 4 more pieces about 1ft long 45 the ends put the 1ft piece on top of the 18in piece screw them together put 1 ramp in front of each wheel and drive up. Works great I fabed up some 11/2 angle iron to act as stops but not necessary

Rhino ramps for the front and a floor jack for the rear end would do the trick. Of course, you need some jack stands too.

Those Rhino ramps look pretty steep for a lowered car.. I'm thinking the air dam or the front bumper will drag... that's why I was looking at those smaller ramps that are just big enough for me to get a low profile jack under the car..
any further info about the rhino ramps from guys who have lowered cars?
If you need more info, I have 18" fronts and 19" rears, using DRM coil-overs.
Thanks-a-bunch!

I used a variety of methods before getting a lift.
But, never do this.

Lot's of good ideas have already been suggested, however rhino ramps will cost you about $40 to $60 and if your car is lowered at all you will have a tough time getting your car up without them sliding. Big pain in the butt. Thats why I have a set of them that I only use on my Tahoe.
What I did is bought a couple of 2x8x8 boards and cut them so I could stack one on top of the other. The base board is about 48" in length and the top one is about 24" in length. The front of each board has a 45% angle. When I drive up on the base board the car lifts 1-1/2 inches and then 24" later i'm up on the second board and the car is up 3". More than enough to get my jack under the car and lift it enough to get my jack stands under it.
Search is your friend. Here is a link to all you probably want to know about ramps.

Here is where your prefered jacking points are on a C5 Corvette
