The rims you did post do look tastefully done.
I dunno, for the most part painted rims remind me of 1980's street bike / moto GP bikes.
Never liked the look then and still don't like it now.

I forgot to post mine when I got the wheels back from the powdercoater in May. Sorry for the delay but here she is...

I can say it because it is my car... I personally can't stand a vast majority of black wheels on C5s. I had powder coated/machined Z06s on mine temporarily and hated every time I had to look at it. The only thing I think looks worse are the ones with a big portion of the wheels, or the entire lip painted to match the body (obviously other than black).
