Default Tire Pressure

I mostly drive the Vette on the weekends, so over the course of the week the tire pressure drops from 32, to 29, etc... so about every 4 weeks I have to fill the tires, is that normal?

No mine doesn't do that. Maybe the "O" rings are leaking around you sensors.

This is a common issue. Check the torque on the valve stem nut. Any good tire shop can change out the O rings. I had the same issue and Discount Tire just replaced my O rings........but they do have to dismount the tires to do this.

My left front tire has been doing this. I'm glad someone else has been reporting it! HOWEVER, if I drive the car for a few miles, it goes back up! I think maybe the tire/air in the tire gets warm and expands? Is that possible???

Yes, as you drive the car, the tire heats up and the air pressure inside will increase.

mine does the same thing, but it sounds like it shouldn't be dropping a couple PSI over the course of the week....on another note, just finished a drive with the top off on a perfect night, doesn't get much better.

I have one wheel that drops a few psi over the week. I've tried a few turns on the not but it still leaks. The sensor is still the original so I guess it needs changing when I get the chance.

tire manufactures say 1 to 3 lbs loss over 3/4 weeks is not a problem thats why they say check tire once a month 3lbs rise is normal for heat up/my lf looses a couple lbs a month/by the way door sticker is only a guide my best handling at 80mph cruise is 3lbs over door
