Again I will look into getting both made. I was thinking I wonder if we could somehow make the piece that surrounds the exhaust removeable. That way you have the same diffuser and you just get the lower piece you need to fit 2 or 4 tips. Just a thought, I dont know if it would work, but that would be the easiest solution.

Or just make a templet to sell with it so people can cut their own or take it to a fab shop to have it cut.

2 looks better, but you alienate most people.

Since this is the most recent thread, I'll ask here. Won't we have to physically remove the "indented" area of the stock fascia to make this look correct?

That's what I had originally asked, if that piece would have to be cutout for the diffuser to look and fit the right way. Other than that, I would think we could follow those lines and make sure the diffuser has a back piece that covers the bumper.

Nether. TWO exhaust pipes are farther apart then that 'two tip" spacer would allow

I dont think its going to be made identical to the photoshop. That is just a rough idea of what its going to look like. Im sure Quick is going to make it where it would fit a 2 tip/4 tip C5 exhaust.

Exactly, everyone is posting that its ugly etc, that is not what we are going to build. That was a quick photoshop to give people an idea. We will do our best to get it made where it looks as if it belongs.

I think those pictures don't do justice for me to choose. The tips look huge. If they were regular size the 4 tip might look good. But to me I like the look of the 2 tip one posted here but love having the 4 tips. If the 4 tips were smaller they might fit something more similar to the 2 tip look with the extra canards.

Cool

OK ALL you two tip ( or two exhuast pipe ) guys, What is the distance Between the two exhaust pipes?

A: from the License plate side on the right pipe, to the License plate side of the left pipe ?

B: what is the distance from the out side of the right pipe, to the out side of the left pipe ?

I think you'd have to cut out almost all of it, but leave a "flange" for attaching the new piece. I'm imagining clip nuts and some countersunk screws from the outside in. The diffuser itself would have to almost follow the contour of the factory mufflers, and be fastened in another spot under the car (it might require some heat shielding). This would make it easy to install. You'd just follow a template for cutting the rear fascia, and then the diffuser could be painted off the car and installed easily. This also allows it to be removable for maintainence of the exhaust.

Speaking of the exhaust...all those voting for two tips probably have a Borla Stinger setup, right? Those tips are almost as far apart as any 4-tip configuration and would also require a very wide opening. I've only seen a couple of guys with a custom center exhaust. Modification of the exhaust seems almost inevitable to me, so maybe you should also design a way to modify it. Maybe cutting of the pipe after the mufflers and clamping / welding on a new section with the tips properly positioned. Anyway, I'm rambling.

Actually I have a four tip Corsa but voted for the two tip. Only because I planned on getting the two tip Borla straight pipes soon, not the Stingers. Hopefully Quick will make both since most people have a four tip exhaust but the two tip looks better.
