Battery and Fuse Cover
I know I've seen non stainless steel ones out there. I've seen the ones that are in different colors I just can't remember where I found them. Anyone want to help me out? Show me what you have maybe.

Got mine in red plastic from Mid-America. Have some red after market dress-up pieces (Torch Red) under the hood which match-up pretty well. Sorry, don't know how to post pics...

Lexan material from Home Depot. Had to have the Logo custom made so it was a mirror look. Installed logo on underside and taped the rest so just the logo was showing and then painted with car color match paint. Removed decal material and then painted the whole underside gloss black. Left cover material on the top side so paint would not get on that. Pretty easy. The longest part of the process what cutting the material. Trial fit, trim. Trial fit, trim. Trial fit, trim. Until you get it perfect.

Lexan is a Polycarbonate and is stronger and supposidly more scratch resistant Plexi/Acrylic. I used Plexi on mine and broke the first two... I don't know if Lexan is easier to cut or not.
I departed form the norm a tad and removed the little cover on the bottom of the fuse cover and made it tight enough to the Fuse cover that they are basically one piece now! Like stated alot of trial fitting and sanding/shaping then painted on the reverse side and I edged it with SEM texture paint... Painted my Cowl and wiper arms while I was at it.

I searched Home Depot, and Lowes... no Lexan. Maybe they have it behind the counter ?
What thickness Lexan are you buying ?
Sand and round the edges ?
Mask off the top and paint the bottom ?
Thanks !

on the DIY battery cover, do you make plans or dimensions available?
Edit: Sorry, guess I should have looked at the post from dndrsn.
