This looks much better than the kit I bought from someone else who sells these and partitions.
Two comments to anyone thinking about this:
It's not nearly as bad as it looks. Installation/removal is time consuming, but anyone can do it.
This is the time to add heated seats as well.

Can you post a link to where you bought the pre-cut insulation? I am ready to do this to my car! I already have the E2 insulated tunnel plate.

How is the stock carpet currently fastened down? To perform this mod, do you need to remove any existing adhesive?

Carpet is simply laid in place without adhesive and held primarily by trim along the edges. No irreversible removal process is necessary - just remove trim and lift the carpeting out. Very simple, actually. The C5 interior is probably one of the easiest to remove.

Damn; you're one brave soul. I don't think I could take apart a car that looked that drop-dead-gorgeous:

Nothing ventured, nothing gained. I did most of the major mods to my other C5, including heads/cam, insulation, etc., with less than 4,000 miles on it. I'm in the process of polishing her paint using a PC 7424 right now. It should look almost new when I'm done. The PC is an excellent - and safe - polisher for us amateurs. I'll post pics when I'm done.

If I want more pics of her, I'll need to wait the requisite hour for the photo primping to occur.

Love to but I'd never get my vacation to-do list done.

Best of luck with your project.

PATCHES - About how much would you say it helped reduce noise?

I want to muffle some noise and I don't mind if it cancels a lot (Actually I prefer more noise cancellation then less )

Or do they have a KIT with more noise reduction? then what you bought

Let me know !

Thanks,Matt
This is the only kit they offer for the C5. You could go with some of the high end materials that cost upwards of $400, are not pre-cut and weigh 70 lbs. or more to cover the same area. The comparisons I've read show the Madvette kit to dampen a substantial amount of noise compared to the high end stuff. You can use spray adhesive on the kit I installed to help dampen vibration even more but I wanted the abilty to pull it up if I need to access an area underneath easily.

I can sell extra pieces (i.e. an extra cargo floor piece, etc.) if you are wanting to double up in certain areas to further reduce noise. Even with the extra pieces, you should still stay under 5lbs. for the entire kit.

I know. He makes it look so easy! The perfect & clean garage also make it look effortless.

Sort of like those home improvement shows. Everything looks easy because they get to edit out the footage of the drywall not fitting and the installers are dropping f-bombs, etc.

Thank you for the response

That is what I want low weight and reduce noise - Exhaust some but mostly road and out side!

Does it reduce some db's for exhaust? (Sorry for the question again - I just want to be sure)

I think I'll call MADVETTE too!

Thanks,Matt

Matt,

It does reduce it a bit - but not dramatically. I will say that the Frost King I did on my other C5 had a more significant effect on the exhaust and road noise than this package did but I think that was because the FK has an adhesive that sticks to the surface. So, it might be a good idea to use a spray adhesive when you install yours to better dampen the noises your looking to cancel out.
