so did you reverse the position of the high and low beams? IIRC the german kit in its original form had the high beams on the outside and the lows on the inside, which looked really weird. looks like you've fixed that.

With this setup we're testing H7 lows and H9 highs.
The bulb options will probably be up to the customer, but of course pricing goes up when we use the new D series bulbs. Plus we will need different projectors for those. We're not to this point yet to really say 100% either way.
To keep the costs down the test set version will be the best choice.

Good thinking, JW. Personally, I think if you release your own version of projector headlights, it needs to be a budget-oriented version (or at least include that as an option). There are already 2 kinds out there with price tags of $700+. I don't know if I'll ever be able to spend hundreds on headlights, but I'm sure there are lots of people here willing to buy it.

Will you be offering a kit without bulbs and ballasts?
Cool, the depos that i have sitting around used the H7 bulbs and the lights i have now use the H9
Do you know if there is any difference in the Halogen projector and the xenon projector? I did notice that the 50mm modules were A LOT cheaper in halogen than they are in xenon.

I think it's just the cut off. I've been reading a little about HID's. It seems xenon's cutoff has to be very precise and fine tuned.
And the projector lens have different qualities. It can make a difference on the light output as well as cutoff color.
It's probably not that big of a difference for those wanting a budget set. Let's face it. If you want like real OEM projector quality it's gonna cost A LOT ($1K+).

He pretty much beat me to it. I doubt most people would even notice the difference (the price would be the real killer). If someone wants to spend $1k I'm sure we can find the best projector out there and make it happen.
We want something affordable, but these will be hand made and not a big production run overseas so we won't be offering them for $200 like the other vehicles you see.

The small opening is the main reason we're doing them. There are a few other options for regular projector lights. We want something different. That option isn't going anywhere.
As for the shroud my tester will be working with a professional in the field of that (unsure what to call him).
Man I might be on my 4th set of HIDs in my car! I'm loving these things.
Also to make it clear from what I said a few posts up we will be using a HID projector.

it's too bad that the US hella doesn't have them on their site as i'd like to find out if there is any difference in the output of light between the halogen projectors using an HID bulb and the actual xenon projectors using the D2S bulbs.
I know what you are saying though. I started with the hids in the stock housing for a week, then went to the DEPOS and now have the light cannons and i'm not all that impressed with the light output. Out of all of them, the DEPOS had the best light output.

I just sent you a p.m. about a led question. Thanks

Sent back.
**** UPDATE***
Later this week we are meeting with an aviation composites expert who will be designing our shrouds.
Depending on what the cost increase would be we're looking at having shroud options for plastic, fiberglass, or carbonfiber (we need opinions). Lens options clear and smoked.
