There seems to be an ongoing thing here about REAL or HYDRO. They do play nice together.
Here are some examples where the hydro cf and real carbon work well together.
Real CF is nice for what it is but, the price difference is staggering from what I have seen from other vendors. It's not like you are making the car worse by going with hydro.
I love my Hydro CF Brake Duct Scoops! After 7000 miles, they're holding up very well; chipped far less than I expected them to (but they still have chips... they aren't bulletproof after all). Pat does great work!

Hey Jason...is that snow on the garage floor?
The brake scoops look great I am finally doing a set for myself. Anybody have the template for cutting the rocker panels?

Yup, that's snow / slush all over the tires and on the floor. I had the car backed out of the garage in order to move it to the opposite side. That's the ONLY time I ever drive the Vette in the snow.

My opinion isn't the popular one on here (usually isn't) but the fake stuff looks... well... fake. It might look cool, give a nice accent to something, or do a lot of things but no matter how you spin it, it isn't real. I've seen about every version of the hydro stuff out there but never have I asked myself: "self, is that real?"
