why don't they make rear window louvers for the C5?

...and 186mph too!
Considering some of the hideously ugly items they actually DO make for the C5, it is a wonder this idea hasn't made it to market. I wouldn't buy one, and they would look fugly, but you know people would buy them. The same people they targeted with the C5 split-window add-on and so forth. The more money than brains crowd.

Holy Bat guano!
Does the owner wear a cape or at the least a mask? I'd definitely wear a mask, I wouldn't want any body to know my identity doing that to any car most especially a Vette.
But hey this is America, where even those with bad taste have freedom of expression

Maybe we're being too harsh. The louvers would also "carpet fade and provide security from prying eyes in your cargo area." It would protect all the unopened boxes of bling/chazzerei that the owner did not get a chance to install on his C5.

I can see the catalog ad now: "Improve your 1997-2004 Corvette's Rear View with Billet
Aluminum Window Louvers. Give your C5 a dramatic, new effect with our precision fit rear window louver."
Of course, the catalogs would also have to offer an upgraded louver made of T-304 stainless steel for those C5 owners worried about rust or discoloring. This upgrade would
ensure years of lasting great looks and lots of thumbs up from other owners.

I dunno.....but my first guess would be because we don't have time machines to zip us back to 1982 AND we don't have magic transformation machines that change out C5 corvettes into IROCS or 5.slooowwws
