Because the 70's and 80's are over.

(But no doubt people would probably buy them.)

Considering some of the hideously ugly items they actually DO make for the C5, it is a wonder this idea hasn't made it to market. I wouldn't buy one, and they would look fugly, but you know people would buy them. The same people they targeted with the C5 split-window add-on and so forth. The more money than brains crowd.

I haveta agree with every word posted so far. Although the annoying BUZZing sounds that they made on the '80s Camaros and C3s would probably be less offensive than the drone that some of the C5 catbacks produce.

They looked great back in the 80s on my 240Z (they didn't look too bad on the Lamborghini Miura either) but not on a C5.

I wouldn't put them on my C-3 and surely wouldn't, even in a drunken stupor, put them on my C-5. lol

They would totally match the tail light and reverse light louvres. That's a great idea!

But they need corvette logos on them too!

Just watch the 70s flick "Corvette Summer" starring Luke Skywalker and you will know why...

They would date the car back to the 80's.
