Keep us posted on how the fob works out for you. I remember when they first came out but didn't get in on buying one then.

I just completed mine, it measures .375" thick x 1.375" wide x 3.166" long, the length is due to the white led and magnifying lense next to it. Red Lisa plastic was used so it's easy to find compared to black. Two 3 volt batteries are wired in series to make the led bright with 20 ma and the fob taps one battery. I put these up in case someone else wants to make their own. If the led and lense was left off then the length would be 2.73".

In ignition.
Bottom of fob, open.
Bottom of fob, closed.
Top of fob, closed.

me too. decided there wasn't enough comment on it to make a decent decision, so i have held off. i would be a buyer also if there were some positive reports on it. is it a true "switchblade" key fob?? does the key actually retract into the case?

thanks for the info and please let us know your experience with the purchase.

It does not "retract," rather it spins on the axis of the silver button you see in the bottom pic in post #10, and is recessed in the area you see in the top pic.

It is a nice piece, I enjoy mine. I actually got two due to a mixup in delivery. I have not even cut the key yet on the second one.

They used to be a CF vendor, but CF cancelled their vendor status for this exact reason.

it's worth noting that while paypal decided in my favor, there wasn't enough funds in his paypal account to recover my loss.....apparently they're taking money out of their account and just not sending anything.

Man, sorry you had to take the hit. Too bad, it looks like a great idea.

I ordered from them when they first offered this on a GP. I've had it for over two years and really like it, no issues. Their customer service was hit or miss then too IIRC...

How much were they? Would you consider selling your spare?

I've had one for a couple of yrs & never had the key cut. The places I've taken it to have the key cut didn't want to take the chance of messing it up. The thing doesn't fit in the cutting machine jig. This includes lock smiths. I never tried a Corvette Dealer thou.
