JW Motoring Projector Light Status--Lower Opening Version--Thread 2**
The other thread was getting a little long.

Well we did a little high speed testing and found the German kit was a little weak for our application. We know you guys love to drive fast so we're giving this kit a little American love by redesigning the components.
The production is taking us longer than expected, but we want to get it right the first time. I have a dedicated JWM team member working on this full time now

These pics show the lights without the shrouds which we're still working on.
This pic shows the final height which is 98-100 mm. We still need to get a measurement of stock, but we're thinking they open around 70mm less than stock.
These pics are from the driver seat/drivers perspective. Both headlights have pretty much disappeared from view! The second picture was taken with the camera just under the rearview mirror.
Descriptions of what the pics are showing to follow...

Without reviewing the entire previous thread, once the shrowds are installed, will the lamps be exposed or shielded with a cover similar to the ACAs?

Lights look great man! Are they "sleepier" than the original set you go? I can't wait to see the finished product, I hope the shroud comes out as good as the rest of the kit

Melting Slicks
Unless the covers were made of glass I would not want them anyway. The effects of UV makes them look fogged over after a couple years. Every car I have had with clear covers does this.
