Default How do you lubricate steel roll up doors

I have 10' steel roll up doors in my garage. They make a lot of noise. Does anyone know how to lubricate these doors. I haven't been very successful with google.

Default Lps2

Buy a can of LPS2 and spray it liberally on the metal to metal contact points.

Yeah, you will need to use a spray lube for it and a lot of it. Might try a motorcycle chain lube. OP, please ask a moderator to move this to the Off-Topic area.

If my garage were as free of junk as yours, I wouldn't care if the door made noise!
Try some Tri-Flo lube.

you will probably get better results with some thick grease like wheel bearing grease.

Nice green and yellow Vette you got there. Is that a custom paint?

Yea but you still need to oil them. I just use WD40.

The doors aren't designed to be lubricated.....Roll-up sheet doors (1 piece) generally have a vinyl rub strip, however, rolling steel (slatted) have no such strip....as a matter of fact, most have metal endlocks (to prevent wind blowout).....Lubrication could temporarily help, but the door is designed for security.......

I know my dad uses regular grease in his. Like the grease you would use to lube up bushings, 5th wheel, etc.

No, it's actually a 3D stereogram. If you step back from the computer screen and just stare at it, you'll eventually see the true image. Just keep trying.

The orignal pic was before I bought the place, it was the easiest photo to post, while I make it a true garage (finished floor, lift, proper tools, etc).
