Is anyone using Cooper tires on their C-5? GIve me the report!!
I have been running Cooper Zeon Sport A/S since last year and I am very happy. I don't drive in any type of competion. I've taken some spirited rides and I've had the car on the track for "parade laps". They handle well , look good ,and they are much quieter than the factory Goodyears. I originally planned to buy the other Zeon tire but the distributor recommended the A/S sport for the Corvette. I would buy these again in a minute.
Hope this helps!

I have not tried the Coopers, but I just installed a set of Sumitomo HRTZ 3's on my 01 and all I can say is wow, quite an improvement over the Pilot Sport ZP's that I have been using, for a RF I don't think you can find a better Tire than the ZP, I just wanted to try non RF's. They were $705 out the door at America"s Tire. Read the write ups at the Tire Rack, that or do a Google search and read what the Porsche guys have to say.The downside is they are a summer only tire.

So on your C5 they were not that noisy quieter than your Goodyears good to hear. I had the Zeon AS 245-45-18's tires on my GT and I did like them they were not noisy imo on my GT but I only had 3-4K on them and sold the car and tires. I like these tire because they are rated at 30K and read guys getting 25-30k on them. I live in the midwest so would not have to worry in colder dry days if I had the vette out with these tires. I have been looking at the SPT's and Exclaims compared to the Zeons, the Kumho SPT I read get louder (see link bleow) as they wear also not for cold weather usage. I recently seen the Exclaim UHP & Kumho SPT's in person for the first time and was shocked by how shallow the thread is compared to the Zeon AS. The Zeons have about 25-30% deeper thread imo from what I remember.

Garllo & Camanhome a few questions so they are not noisy/loud on your C5 (&C4 Cam) what exhaust system are you guys running, how many miles have you put on them and how are they wearing?

With Garllo: I have the Cooper Zeon Sport A/S for 2 years now, no problems much better than the Run Flats
Do you guys remember the Porsche 959 Rally edition...lifted suspension, mud terrains...now that was one serious and exotic off-road machine. With the stock Corvette suspension height, I'm sure you might be able to squeeze those suckers in ....I guess I'm a bit off topic

I am running a B&B bullit exhaust with a Magnaflow Xpipe and frankly the Goodyear emt's were louder at cruising than the exhaust system. The Zeon sport A/S tires are much quieter and ride better. I had a 4wheel alignment done and I currently have about 5k miles on them which includes a trip to Carlise from Ct. Last year and there is no noticable wear.

Thanks for the reply I been going back and forth on which tires last minute decsion today was between the Zeon Sport AS & Exclaim UHP. I went with and had DT order the Exclaims UHP today for $634.00 installed out the door. I hope I don't regret not going with the Zeon Sport AS.
