Anything you buy from Ecklers is going to cost you top dollar...used ducts are fine..and only cost about $40 each or less if you are lucky on that big auction site.
I used those templates about a year ago and they were perfect & right on. Dremmel tool did the job in about two minutes. Use a dust mask you will need it.

I bought used ducts, the part hidden in the wheel well and bought new vents from or GM seller here. You can get them from the GM parts guy much cheaper than Ecklers, where do you think Ecklers gets them from?

It would be nice if the forum could host these two files so that they will always be available. These free file sharing sites come and go so fast that the links just stop working.

Sorry to bother the OP with a PM a few moments ago. I should have did this before I questioned the measurements, sorry... My first copy of the printer, the match marks were 6 1/2 inches and the two holes with the farthest distance was 12 13/16 so I was like what's going on. So, for some you may need to do the following when printing:
Select File, Print, Properties, Effects
- Click on % of actual size and move to 104. Once I did this the measurements were right on. Just needed a little stretching. Of course I'll continue to make sure everything is accurate and aligns ok.
Good Luck.

OK all done...whew...it was a little PITA but what isn't? The template I used by IM QUIKR was pretty much right on. I cut a little inside the line and then ground down as needed. I used the dremel and all went good. What was funny about the job from the beginning was getting the wheel tub out..I'm thinking WTH..There was a little screw up top that I didn't see LOL. gotta love it. Oh and that front screw on the brake screen isn't that that easy to get started either but with a little patience I got it. Both sides came out right as I measured. Thanks again....Super MOD!!!!

Hey guys, getting ready to conduct the surgery myself. While the thought of cutting into my corvette makes me want to vomit, I want to do it myself for sure. Ordered all the parts and was hoping for a little guidance. I'm planning on using a dremmel and 561 bit to do the cutting.
Order of operations I am planning on executing the install in...
-remove wheels and wheel well covers
-tape
-measure
-mount the template
-draw the template onto the tape
-say a prayer
-drill a hole in each end of the duct hole
-cut the duct hole slightly less than the template suggests
-port out with sander around edges until duct fits
-drill the bolt holes
-sand up holes a bit with dremmel sanding drum
-worry about running the duct work to the brakes
I am a little concerned about drilling the bolts holes after cutting the duct hole for fear of the fiberglass cracking toward the duct hole in lieu of less rigidity. Any feedback on my planned order of operations or using the dremmel 561 bit or other dremmel accessories to get the job done? Thanks.

This looks like a great mod! I'd like to try this when its in the budget. Wheels and tires this spring will kill any mods until fall.

Just an option... I did these myself... my very first attempt at body work.. I did these 14 years ago and still look great.
