I still got my stocker. Reminds me of an R/C car every time i look at it.

I want to get a shorter one, but i like the skinny ones, those fat ones almost draw your attention away from the car. Short and skinny and your eyes don't even notice it.

I like the skinny shorty too, but I thought this one would go with low fat look of my car, and it did.

I couldn't decide which way to go on these antennas and I too went with bitvipers antenna back in October and I really like it as well! I was kind of skeptical about the radio reception but I honestly didn't notice any difference- My dad said that as long as you are at the correct length for the wavelength of FM radio you can have any multiple of that length and it will work just fine... So the stocker must be like 6X and the bitviper is 1X? At first I thought it looked a little too fat but I think I was just used to seeing the skinny RC version as now I really like it and my wife and dad both think it looks good and they are pretty critical on appearance modifications- A+

Got mine today after ordering earlier in the week. I previously had a shorty antenna that was pretty low profile (you didn't really notice it much since it was pretty thin) installed. Wasn't sure if I'd like this one, but after seeing pictures in the thread of other rides with it along with the glowing recommendations, I figured I'd give a it a go. I must say, I dig it! No loss whatsoever in signal strength, and it fits the big butt of the vette pretty well. I hit it with a little vinyl conditioner after the install and the thing looks real good. Even the wife gave it a thumbs up!

Great product overall. Thanks and keep up the good work, Aaron!

If you like the skinny ones just modify your stock one, thats what I did. You just need a dremel, cut it to the length you want then grind down the edge so that the little black ball can go back and then just paint black again. Takes all of 10mins to do.

I had my antenna for about a year, with no complaints. Reception is great and it looks far better than stock. But mine did come apart on the freeway the other day. The covering came off and now it looks really odd. Time to order another one I guess.

Did anyone have to remove the old base screw? How do you remove? I don't want to gaul it up if I need to use it again for some reason. I need to switch to one that came w the antenna so it seats down all the way.

I guess that means the install requires a pair of pliers and a blow torch?
