Hey guys, are these studs fairly strong? Im asking because im running a 19" ruff racing wheel in the front and the clearance between the stock z06 front brake and the rim is very very close...almost scary, i know that it does clear..and technically isnt a problem but i was thinking about running a very small like 7/32" spacer just to bump it out a few mm or so..can i run these safely on the front wheel studs? I dont autox right now or anything so stress isnt consistently placed on the front wheels etc etc..

I run 18/315/30's on CCW's at the track, and on the rear the I use an 1/8th spacer for clearence issues( rubs the inner fender well) I've never had the stud shear off, but I have broken quite a few using a "star" type lug nut wrench. If I remembr correctly, a stock nut on with the stock setup, you get 9 full turns of the nut. With ny spacers I believe I got almost 7 full turns.IMHO Not enough of an issue to worry about. You could always look into the nuts that are open, no top.
Thanks George, i dont think it will be a big issue, a 7/32" spacer is about 0.2" so i dont think its enough to put any additional stress on the wheel studs, im just trying to get an idea of how large people run until they change out studs. Im only doing it to gain a couple mm of space for piece of mind near the caliper and rim. Its extremely tight, i dont even think u could fit a piece of cardboard between them right now....

Or just swap them out for a set of ARP studs and have no worries...
