Default LG Streets vs LG pros

I have been searching around the forum lately just trying to refresh my knowledge on these two systems, im still a little confused the street system is 1 3/4" while the Pros are 1-7/8" if i recall, i also am not sure what the future holds for the car mod wise, but i def think i will get to the point where i put a cam or even FI. However this is not going to happen in the next 6 months at a minimum. Right now i have vararam and stingers, so id like to add longtubes. What is the recommended size for best results? As i said i do plan/figure i will add a cam or blower in teh future but this isnt something thats going to happen any time soon what so ever. Input greatly appreciated

When I was shopping for headers with LG, I was told that the Pro headers are best used on 500+ RWHP applications. ANything less and there would likely be no detectable difference between either set.

Based on that, the streets would accomplish the same thing as the pro's but for less money. UNTIL you crank that HP up with a blower. Then at that point, the true benefit from the Pro's will become apparent. I'm sure the streets would still work OK with that power, its just that the Pros will begin to show some good improvement over the streets at that point.

Whether you want to buy the Pro's now and live with them until you can take full advantage of them later, or buy streets now and then replace with Pro's when you get the extra HP, is entirely up to you...

This is based on my experiences while shopping headers, however others with much more experience should chime in and hopefully provide some more pointed advice.

I bought my streets from Gullatti him self at bloomington 5yrs ago. He could have sold me pros or streets as I was just a checkbook wanting to buy lt headers. the streets were his suggestion. After 5yrs with the streets I have no complaints and never wished I'd got the pros. The streets are a tight fit as is I can only imagine what the pros are like. there are 100's of posts on this subject, search them and see what you think. Good Luck

There is a cost difference, and i do not believe it is worth it right now since like i said at a minimum of 6 months probably even closer to a year will i have a cam or go into changing out the heads or a FI kit. This time next year is probably when i would start to do those mods but it is no guarantee. I just dont want to pay extra for minimal difference right now and even for only minimal gains as the power levels keep climbing...

What i am basically gathering from a few responses and some research is that both sets of headers are extremely similar in gains while in teh 4xxrwhp area, once maybe you start to crack 500+rwhp the Pros start to give you some better gains but nothing earth shattering? If that is the case i will just go with the streets for the cheaper price and fact that i unfortunately do not see my car breaking 500-550rwhp in the next year...Maybe 420-440rwhp with a decent cam setup

Miteswell get the pro's, sooner or later you'll get more mods and wish you would have bought them in the 1st place.

I have 1 7/8's on my car, along with a mid sized cam and I make 430/400 on a n2o tune.
